Field Trip to Shanghai Maritime Museum

All the primary students in SHSID spent a joyful day visiting the Shanghai Maritime Museum. Upon arrival, the sail-shaped building attracted everyone’s eyes immediately as we approached up the entrance steps.

Every student from Grade 1 to Grade 4 found something that interested them inside the museum. The younger students enjoyed the experience of being a little sailor in Children’s Centre. They had an amazing experience sailing on the waving ocean in Stimulation Driver’s Cab with the 3D glasses on. The older students learned a lot about the history of navigation around the world, and they were impressed by all kinds of ship models which looked so vivid and distinct.

Many students lined up for a long time to land on a huge model ship copied from a real Ming Dynasty ship in ancient China. The tour guide introduced the ship’s structure, function and history to the students. Every student learned a little more about ancient Chinese ships.

Hopefully every student has learned a lot and enjoyed a lot during this meaningful field trip to the Shanghai Maritime Museum.
