International Division High School Math faculty‘s Third Research and Development Seminar

On the afternoon of November 15th, the International Division High School Math faculty held their third research and development seminar in Room 211 of the Xianmian Building. First, Ms. Wu Chen presented a flow chart of International Division High School Math courses and introduced the variety of course selection paths from Grade 9 to Grade 12. Then with detailed course descriptions, she analyzed the connections among the contents of the courses in each grade and the pre-requirements for students. After reading the High School Math courses’ introduction carefully, new teachers reflected upon the course requirements, characteristics and the study status quo of students, and shared their understanding of the teaching criteria and the requirements of each level, according to their own experience with the classes. This seminar effectively helped new teachers to get familiar with the high school Math curricula, and laid a solid foundation for holistic teaching and knowledge mapping.
