Grade 9： Job Shadow Day- Ctrip

November 14th was the second Job Shadow Day for the 9th grade students. This time they paid a visit to Ctrip, which was located in Lingkong SOHO. The students received a tour of the company from one of the managers, who introduced the function of different departments and the significance of the design of the office buildings. Then the students were taken to an exhibition displaying the history of Ctrip. Starting from 1999, Ctrip has overcome a lot of difficulties and by 2010s, Ctrip had become the greatest tourist enterprise in China. In 2016, it made a great symbolic achievement by holding/investing the number two and number four tourist enterprises. They also now have a goal of becoming one of the companies listed on the Fortune 500.

The students then took a look inside the office. Each meeting room was named after a city, a country or a famous site. In addition, the company featured three gyms, a kindergarten. and a GPS monitor which guides the visitors from one department to another. The students were amazed during the trip, letting out surprised gasps from time to time. After the visit, the special culture of the company and its development left an amazing impression on the students.
