Our School Students Union in Shanghai City Symphony Concert

In the afternoon of November 13th, our school’s Ensemble students participated in the “Shanghai Students Ensemble Union Performance” in the He Luting Concert Hall at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. The performers were from SHSID and also the Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance. During the 1st round, both school’s wind ensembles performed, and the audience enjoyed them both greatly. Mr. Li Xin conducted the SHS ensemble, who performed six pieces. The pieces included “Gypsy Dance”, “Canon Brass Rock”, “Tequila”, and more, leaving the audience intoxicated. Mrs. Dong Fang’s string ensemble performed two pieces: Schubert’s “Trout Quintet”, and Jiu Shirang’s “City of Sky”.

SHSID’s ensemble was made up of the wind ensemble and the string ensemble. The players all came from our school’s international department. Those students loved playing their instruments. They have attended many such performances, such as the ones held during sports week, the charity show, and all kinds of art festivals inside and outside of school. This activity not only offered a good platform for the SHSID students to show their talents, but also offered both schools a chance to interact and communicate with each other, so the schools and the parents took this event very seriously.

For all these years, the club teachers and students have put a lot of effort into the club, which has made all the students very enthusiastic and the whole club proud. We believe that in the future, the students will become better and better, and will make big achievements in their lives.
