Puxi Grade 2: Shanghai Roots & Shoots Partner Appreciation Reception

Shanghai Roots & Shoots is a non-profit organization, which was established in 1999 by Tori Lynn Zwisler. Shanghai Roots & Shoots have been running the ‘Million Tree Project ’ in China since 2007. With the help of around 300 domestic and overseas companies and over 2,200 volunteers, Shanghai Roots & Shoots has already met the goal of 2 billion trees! The Primary Section at SHSID is one of its partners. The money we raised in charity fair was partly donated to Shanghai Roots & Shoots.

On November 10th, several Grade 2 teachers attended Shanghai Roots & Shoots’ partner-appreciation reception. In this appreciation reception, the president of Shanghai Roots & Shoots, Tori Zwisler, made a impressive speech. With tears in her eyes, she expressed great appreciation to all involved partners and volunteers, and shared the great achievements that Shanghai Roots & Shoots has made over the years.

We hope more and more people can get involved, plant more trees and make a better environment for all of us!
