Grades 9-10:English Speech Competition
Grades 9-10:English Speech Competition
On 26th of October, SHSID Grades 9 and 10 held the annual English speech competition in the grand auditorium. Ten candidates from the two grades made their way to this final round, which consisted of two sessions. The speakers of different levels received different topics to present in the first session. The students from H level gave their speech as a foreign policy advisor of the president of the United States and analyzed the facts that the president needed to know about Asia before entering the G20 summit in New York. The standard level students, on the other hand, provided all the others with their special way to keep themselves positive in a world full of negative information.
The second session was much more challenging. The candidates were required to present an impromptu one-minute speech with only a little time to prepare. All the competitors showed us their quick mind and wits. Despite the fact that most of the students still wanted to listen to more of these marvelous speeches, the day finally had to come to an end. Let's congratulate all the speakers who devoted so much effort and time to make this day amazing!
