AP Statistics Symposium on New Teaching Resources

On the afternoon of November 8th, the AP Statistics faculty held a symposium on their new teaching resources. Ms. Yuan Shuyi and Ms. Gao Yue Er shared the information and resources from 2016 AP Workshop.

The symposium was composed of three parts. Firstly, Ms. Gao Yue Er introduced a variety of sources of online exercises and interesting videos. Secondly, Ms. Yuan Shuyi and Ms. Gao Yue Er demonstrated three class activities related to hypothesis testing using M&M chocolates, and emphasized the similarities and differences between the three tests. Thirdly, Ms. Yuan Shuyi summarized common phrases and explanations in AP Statistics writing, and shared some exam strategies and techniques. In the end, based on the current teaching resources, Ms. Liu Qin and Ms. Zhang Mingxin presented some new ideas regarding improvement and integration. The results of this symposium are expected to be put into practice in the next phase of AP teaching this semester.
