Grade 9: Mini Eco-System

In recent days, when stepping into the Zhongxing Building, one can see some amazing models exhibited in the lobby. This is the Grade 9 biology project. Students chose one type of eco-system and simulated the biological environment with handmade models. These mini-worlds made of paper, clay, paint, twigs, leaves or plastic display vivid features of rainforest, tundra, desert, polar lands, etc. There are “polar bears” crawling along the icebergs, “zebras” grazing on the grassland, “fishes” swimming in the deep lake, and dense “forest” and ranges of “mountains”. The exhibition gathered various fantastic sceneries from around the planet and showed the splendor of nature to everyone. It also proved that the Grade 9 students are able to transform the knowledge they have learnt in biology class into ingenious creations.
