Grade 10: Visit Lab “Institute of Photonics & Bio-Medicine) in ECUST

On Oct. 19th, 11 students in Grade 10 visited the Institute of Photonics & Bio-Medicine (IPBM) in the East China University of Science and Technology. Students learnt and operated basic experiments, which furthered their understanding of Biology and Physics.

IPBM was established in October 2014, focusing on fundamental research in molecule detection and photonics. Two teachers introduced the major research and displayed the capillary voltage and Raman spectroscopy. Our students actively asked questions and tried related experiments by themselves. The visit deepened the students’ understanding of interdisciplinary biology, physics, chemistry and medicine. Also, their passion for scientific research has been upgraded!
