Puxi Grade 2: Projects about Symmetry

Grade 2 students completed their math project ‘Name Symmetry’ during the National Day. They could use any materials to make their English names and show lines of symmetry. There were two questions in this project: Which of the letters in your name have 1 line of symmetry? Which of the letters in your name have no lines of symmetry? Most of their work was very creative.

In the math class on October 26th, Grade 2 kids had a project called ‘Symmetry in Halloween’. They were given several shapes about Halloween and regular polygons. They were asked to fold out all the lines of symmetry. And then they used a string to be the line of symmetry and connected all the shapes. Kids brought their projects to school and used them to decorate the classrooms.
