2016 Shanghai Students Painting and Calligraphy Competition

To cultivate our teenagers’ aesthetic taste and artistic accomplishments, and also to follow the campus policy of pursuing truth, goodness, and beauty, the Art Education Center of Shanghai Science and Technology held the ‘2016 Shanghai Students Painting and Calligraphy Competition’. This competition had a Chinese slogan, literally translated as: ‘Grow under the sunlight - interpret dream’. The point of this event was education about China’s ‘socialist core values’. Activities described as vivid and rich were held to serve this purpose. The competition improved student’s aesthetic and cultural accomplishments by impelling them to not only sense beauty, but also appreciate beauty, exhibit beauty and create beauty.

Thanks to the joint efforts of students and our school faculty, our students brought home prizes. Xiaoning Chen from 11th grade, Wanting Ma from 8th grade, and Jiayang Huang from 10th grade won the first prize, second prize and third prize respectively.
