A Parent-teacher Symposium of Grade 10

A parent-teacher symposium of grade 10 was held recently including two sessions: a meeting held in the Annex auditorium with several lectures presented by Feng Ma, SHSID high school principal, Hao Jiang, Coordinator of IB & AP, Li Zhang and Nan Zhang, SHSID college counselors, James Lawman, sports coach of SHSID; and various conferences held in different classrooms of Zhong Xing Building between the Principal, parents and teachers of students to discuss children's future choices and progress at school and find solutions to academic or behavioural problems. For many parents and teachers, it’s an opportunity of the school year to sit down face to face and discuss everything from curriculum to issues that arise in the school. Coming up with an action plan to address academic or behavioral concerns that can benefit the students, the school prepares fully going over discussion topics like high school curriculum, college information, extracurriculum activities and different subjects as following.

The new semester of grade 10 has begun. Once an action plan is in place, students should try to follow up with their three years’ plan and focus on their specific strengths and weaknesses in individual subjects and generalizing the level of inter-curricular skills and competences.
