Puxi Grade 3: The Dictionary Competition

Native Chinese students in Grade 3 experienced a special competition called The Dictionary Competition on October 17th.

After learning and practicing how to find the unknown characters and words with the new Chinese dictionary from the beginning of this semester, Native Chinese classes in third grade had a competition to look for unknown characters and words with certain methods.

During the competition, students worked as a group. All the students showed good teamwork in their groups. Some groups’ students worked individually first and then finished the worksheet together. Some groups’ students had an active discussion about the polyphones and tried their best to choose the best answers. And some groups’ students reviewed their answers again and again to make sure that their answers would be correct.

This competition was for students to check their mastery of looking for new characters and words in thw dictionary, and also for students to know the importance of teamwork when working in a group.
