Students Take Part in Scratch Game

Students in SHSID will take part in the 16th "Kong Jiangbei" Shanghai Youth Computer Application Operation Competition which is organized by the Shanghai Science and Technology Education Center. As the all the students in Grade 6 are learning the scratch curriculum this semester, in order to enhance the enthusiasm of students and encourage them to constantly challenge themselves, our school organizes students in Grade 5 and 6 to actively participate in the competition. The competition has individual and team competition. If a student takes part in an individual competition, he or she needs to go to the scene to complete the scratch program design. Team competitions are composed of groups of three students, and students need to submit a project about "Shanghai’s Most" works. Scratch software is very popular among students due to the introduction of graphical programming that makes it possible for low-grade students to easily learn to programming and design interesting programs themselves, including designing animations, making games, and so on. The students are also very active in registration in the competition. There are 14 students enrolled in the individual competition, and 24 students enrolled in the team competition. I hope the students in the International Department achieve good results in the game!
