8th Grade Visited Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center

Last Thursday, October 13th, the eighth graders went on their field trips. Due to the amount of people we had and the holding capacity of the places we were to visit, the grade was separated into four groups and each group went to different places.

Classes 2, 7, and 9 went to the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center, which is located in the Huangpu District. There for around an hour and fifteen minutes, the students got to see pictures and models of our city that showed us how it is in the present day, and how it has evolved through history. From intricate models of our city that spread over entire floors, to pictures depicting differences between "old" and "new" Shanghai, this museum was a place that truly offered you knowledge of the evolution of our beautiful city's infrastructure and physical image. And the students were deeply intrigued.

On the school bus back to school, everybody talked excited about the visit. And judging from the frequent cheer and laughter, no doubt it was a great experience and everyone enjoyed it.
