Grade 11: Sports Week: Robot Game
Grade 11: Sports Week: Robot Game
On October 12th, the students in Xianmian building had a "robot" game. Although it was an unfamiliar game for the students, however, after the ASB members' introductions in the morning, there were many students gathering at the lawn in front of the big auditorium during lunchtime, keen on playing the game. Three students work as a team in this game: "commander" gives commands to the "controller", who instructs the robot with words, with gesture. Then "robot", whose eyes are covered, have to depend solely on the controller's directions to throw the ball on other team's robot. The one who left out at the end wins the game. After ASBs explained the rules, every group started their games. Commanders' awkward gestures and controllers' funny instructions definitely caused the audience to laugh; even ASB members were no exception. At last, 11(7) won the first prize. Of course, other team members also enjoyed it much. Some other students were attracted by the game and tried to play it. So there was a friendly game after the final round. The students who wanted to play it as well as teachers joined in the game. Mr. Hong Miao was hit by others soon after the game started. At the end, Brian’s team won the friendly game.
Overall, this "robot" game strengthened the trust and cooperation between the students. Students loved this game and wanted to play it again!
