Essay Workshop II: How to Write an American Personal Essay?
The SHSID writing center held a lecture on American personal statement essays on Friday, September 30th. Students from the 11th and 12th grade attended the lecture in the annex auditorium.
The lecture covered all aspects of the American personal statement essay. The lecturer, Mr. Morgan, described how personal statement essays should both tell a story and explain why the student wants to go to university.
Students were told that at any time, they may submit their essays to the writing center for editing and review. Students may also sign up for feedback sessions with the writing tutors there.
