Puxi Grade 2: Plant Project Presentation

This semester the students have been learning about plants in Science class. To make students understand plants better, the teachers asked the students to work on a plant project.

The plant project topics vary from cotton to T-shirts, from trees to paper, from cocoa to chocolate, from plants to perfumes and soaps, and from wood to instruments or furniture. In this project, students briefly introduced a plant, and then explained how the plant is harvested, how it is processed in a factory and how it is used in daily life.

Students presented their projects in Science class on September 26th, 27th, and 28th. All of the projects were excellent, and their presentations left a deep impression on everyone. For example, one student introduced the process of turning trees into paper.

The 1st step is to get trees from timber. The next step is to make wood chips into pulp, followed by drying pulp to make paper. Paper can produce a huge and diverse range of products, such as newspaper, paper boxes, napkins and so on.

Thanks to the presentations, the students learned about a lot of new plants for the 1st time and broadened their knowledge of the world of nature.
