Grade 6:ASB Election

On September 22nd, SHSID held the grade 5th and 6th ASB election. From the 33 candidates standing in the election, 15 will be elected as ASB members. 5 will be taken from 5th Grade and the other 10 from 6th Grade.

During the meeting each candidate gave a 2 minute speech. Roughly 450 students across all classes in Grade 5 & 6 were invited to be the audience and vote for the new ASB members. Every candidate was well prepared and did the best during their speeches, using many different approaches to present their capability, personality, attitude and strong willingness to be part of the ASB, in order to capture the attention of the audience and win their votes. It was quite interesting to see that some candidates deployed humor in their speeches. Everyone had great ideas on how to make our school a more fun place and a better environment for the students. Every candidate won applause after their speech and although the whole session lasted for more than an hour, all the audience seemed to be very interested and active.

We all look forward to see the final result of the election, and see who our new ASB members are!
