Grade 11: The Colorful “ Biosphere”

Recently, various kinds of interesting 3D ‘ Biosphere’ models have been put in display in the Biology classrooms. These were made by H-level students in Grade 11, based on the ‘terrestrial ecosystem’. An ecosystem is a community of living organisms living in conjunction with the nonliving components (things like air, water and mineral soil) of their environment, interacting as a system.

A closer examination reveals that the students spent a lot of hard wok on the color, structure, arrangement of their models. In class, students presented their group project by giving an introductory lecture on the climate, and typical plants and animals. Such a subject activity can not only cultivate students’ creative abilities, but also improve their skills in expression and cooperation.
