Grade 9: Parents Meeting— Introduction of Biology Courses in High School

On September 13th, Grade 9 held the 1st parents’ meeting of the semester. Mrs. Gu, the leader of Biology Teaching and Research Group, gave a detailed report on Biology courses in High School. The 1st part of the report started with a summary of the teaching plan and purpose. Then Mrs. Gu illustrated the requirements of the curriculum. During the meeting, most parents considered topics such as “how to choose courses”, “what are the requirements for IB/AP?”, and “what is the relationship between biology courses among different grades?”. Biology teachers explained each question in detail. Parents expressed their hopes and expectations for students and SHSID. In order to cultivate students’ scientific mentality, the Biology Group also encourages students who are deeply interested in science to join their discussions.
