Grade 6: Youth Development Class - Scavenger Hunt

In our first youth development class, we had a fun scavenger hunt. The reason why we had this scavenger hunt was to remind us about safety rules in classes, in the hallway, or in any other places on campus. We were separated into several groups with three to four people in each and were handed a map showing the different stations and missions that we had to complete. Although we only had 40 minutes to complete all the missions, I guess everyone did their tasks on time. Every single task we had was about safety, for example walking along the right side with the footprints down the hallway at a normal pace, not running and chasing after each other. We had to mark three places on the first floor and three on the second floor that would be very dangerous places to run. There were also problems about sitting in the hallway and placing school bags in front of the bathroom, so we had to highlight places that would be safe to do those things.

Overall it was a great and fun class. Everyone learned how to follow the rules about safety and therefore, no one will be hurt again.
