Grade 7: New Chinese Text Book Compiled by SHSID.

This semester 7th and 8th graders begin to use Chinese text book compiled by SHSID teachers. The content of this book reflects the objectives of the school. As Chinese teacher Ms. Liu Qiong mentioned in her 1st Chinese class: “We are treating the Chinese language not only as a language tool, but also as personality training.”

The format of this book is easy for SHSID students to understand. Each unit contains a single topic which caters well to its target ability level because the book was written by SHSID teachers, who know their students very well.

Compared with previous textbooks, the new textbook is more suited to students’ learning interests and Chinese language skills. They greatly appreciate their teachers for delivering such a great textbook!
