Puxi Grades 1-2: The First Assembly

Grade 1 and Grade 2 students attended the first school assembly on September 8th. During the assembly, Chinese homeroom teachers announced weekly stars of the first week. There are many new students enrolled in school and most of them adjusted to the new environment, so the teachers had no shortage of weekly star candidates!

There are many ways for students to become a weekly star– such as being well prepared for class, participating actively in the classroom, turning in homework on time, and so on. Ms Bao and a student demonstrated how both teachers and students should bow when giving or receiving a weekly star certificate. In addition, foreign teachers showed us a new weekly habit: to keep right, and to walk nicely in the hallway. This was to remind students not to push each other or run in the hallway, and to ensure their safety during break time.
