Good Try in National Linguistics Olympiad

On April 2, 2016, several students from SHSID participated in the annual National Linguistics Olympiad (NLO). This was the first time SHSID students participated in the Olympiad on campus, held using a remote exam system. Distributed in Chinese, the NLO is a competition based on logic rather than knowledge of many languages. Students are required to find patterns in obscure languages, deciphering them and writing their own sentences in the language in the competition. In the end, Rachel Wang received the Third Prize award for the competition. The school congratulates all participants and encourages other students to participate in the competition next year.
