Pudong Grade 3: Dragon Boat Festival
Third grade students at the Pudong Campus celebrated the Dragon Boat Festival on June 7th. The Dragon Boat Festival, also called the Duanwu Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar. For thousands of years, the festival has been marked by eating zong zi (glutinous rice wrapped to form a pyramid using bamboo) and racing dragon boats. Students learned all about the festival, it’s traditions and also tried the delicious zong zi.
