Grade 9 - 10 Peer Advisor: Time Management
Grade 9 - 10 Peer Advisor: Time Management
With time management becoming a more and more stressful thing to deal with, Amber Cai from the 11thgrade gave the grade 9 and 10 students a presentation on how to manage time. She summarized ways to work efficiently into 9 essential things to do for you to not waste time.
The most important ones are “making your task concrete,” “planning to fail,” “stretching,” and “being self-aware”. By making your task concrete, you know what you should do in an amount of time, and you create a plan for yourself to do that task. Planning to fail gives you a will and drives to complete it and prepares you to be ready if there is an emergency. By being self aware, you become aware of your physical and mental needs, you hydrate yourself, and you stretch to be comfortable.
At the end of the presentation, Amber showed us a few applications to use to help students regulate time usage. She also showed the students a few simple stretch moves, that can be done anywhere and anytime to wake yourself up.
