Puxi Grade 2: Activities with 8th Graders

This month the grade 8 service learning team brought us two activities. One was the game of statues, and the other was reading buddy.

In the game of statues, a grade 8 student worked as the curator, and the grade 2 students were the players of statues. Whenever the curator turned around, the statues had to be frozen in position and hold for as long as the Curator looked at them. They ran, jumped, gave funny poses, and laughed on the lawn. The grade 2 students really loved this game!

In the reading buddy activity, the grade 8 students read some interesting books to grade 2 students. Then they asked questions about the book, and gave prizes to those who gave the correct answers. At the end of the activity, they even showed a short movie about the book. All the grade 2 students were delighted with it!
