Puxi Grade 2: Help Hepu Service Center in a Library Program

The Hepu Teenager Service Center, an NGO helping teenagers from poor families in Shanghai, gave a presentation to our 2thgraders on May 19th. The organization introduced their new program, building a library in the XinZhuang community. The children of migrant workers in that community can read books and join in various reading activities. After the presentation, 10,000 Yuan from our charity fair was donated to the organization, and the money would be used to decorate their library. Grade 2 students were also encouraged to donate their books. By the end of May, hundreds of books have been received. Students understand more about what ‘sharing and caring’ is through this activity.
