Grade 10: SAT vs ACT Lecture

On June 1^st, SHSID invited Mr. Duc Luu, an education professional, to give grade 10 students a lecture on the SAT and ACT. Nowadays, more and more grade 10 students showed anxiety about learning the difference of the two most popular international academic tests. In the Xianmian Annex Auditorium, Mr. Luu first contrasted the SAT and ACT in all the test sessions, including reading, mathematics and essay. Being full of detailed examples and funny words, his speech provided a clear picture of the major features of the two tests. Then, students were required to complete a mock test of both the SAT and ACT to have a pre-experience of the tests. Under the illustration and instruction by Mr. Luu, they had better understanding of the test skills. The lecture ended with a brief Q&A session. With the knowledge they learned from this lecture, students were expected to choose the test that can best prove their academic ability.
