IBO Educators and SHSID IBDP Students & Parents Conference

On May 25th, Mr. Stephen Keegan and Ms. Su Yuan, IB Educators, had their second review day at SHSID. They continued their evaluation and held an intriguing seminar with SHSID IBDP students and parents.

At the seminar, the IBDP parents shared why they chose SHSID and their understanding of an international education and participation in the IBDP. Parents’ belief in an international education left deep impressions on both IB Educators. Students also shared their passions and understanding with the Mr. Stephen Keegan and Ms. Su Yuan. They reflected their experiences and how CAS and TOK classes influenced their views of learning. The IBDP students also discussed with Mr. Stephen Keegan and Ms. Su Yuan about what the IB program means to them. SHSID students’ strong communication skills and unique outlooks received a strong affirmation from the IBO Educators.

After the parents and students conference, Mr. Keegan and Ms. Yuan met with Principal Feng, Principal Ma and Ms. Jiang to further discuss the school mission statement and distribution of school resources. SHSID students’ great achievements in the IBDP over the past five years received approval as well as suggestions for further improvements from both IB Educators.

SHSID hopes the IB Diploma Program continues to develop and achieve new goals in the upcoming five years.
