IBDP Five-year Review at SHSID

The IB Educators began their two-day onsite visit of SHSID on May 24th for the IB five-year review. SHSID welcomes Mr. Stephen Keegan and Ms. Su Yuan, two IB Educators, in the Principal’s Conference where they met with SHS Principal Feng and SHSID high school administrators.

The IB Educators exchanged views at length with SHS Principal Feng and Mr. Ma, SHSID High School Principal, at the meeting and with Ms. Jiang Hao, the IB Coordinator, observed IB classes. This provided IB educators with a more comprehensive understanding of the IB curriculum at SHSID. The IB Educators emphasized the school role in fostering students’ abilities and characters. When meeting with the IB subject teachers, Mr. Stephen Keegan and Ms. Su Yuan carefully evaluated various aspects of the course including the written curriculum, teaching and learning, assessment and students’ achievements.

The first day of the IBO review wrapped up smoothly and successfully. Through the review, the high school IB Diploma Program has much to reflect on with the past five years and further develop the IBDP in the future.
