Puxi Grade 1: Donation to Million Tree Project

In the Personal Growth class on May 26th, all the 1st graders and teachers gathered together in the assembly auditorium to join in the donation ceremony for the Million Tree Project raised by the Roots and Shoots Charity Foundation.

This is the 2nd time that the 1st graders of SHSID donated to this project. Altogether RMB 20,000 was donated to buy trees. All the trees will be planted in Tongliao, Inner Mongolia to help prevent desertification of the environment.

Ms. Chen, a member of Roots and Shoots Foundation, also shared with all the 1st graders many pictures about the trees which have been planted in Tongliao. When the students saw all the trees from their donation, they all felt so proud and touched. The teachers hoped that all the students will remember this unforgettable moment.
