Grade 8: Virtual Reality-IT World’s New Order

Just imagine that you can go shopping at Avenue des Champs in Paris, or you may even ride a roller-coaster in Disneyland without going outside! With the corresponding Kinect devices (For example: Tachanka, a type of Kinect device where you may use your eyes to control the computer) you can definitely do those things above.

Virtual Reality is a type of technology that has been conceived since the 1930s, but it didn’t became famous until 2014, when the creator of Doom (Now working with Facebook) started to develop it. According to the Japanese Famous Informational Technology Website DMM (English Name: Nekopara), the theory of Virtual Reality is to use two mirrors and reflect the light from a screen with two contents on it into your eyeballs. Basically it’s using two magnifiers for your eyes.

8th Grader Calen Weng from 8(9) is really interested in Virtual Reality. And he did a lot of research about VR: “What do you need to experience Virtual Reality? There are many cheap VR glasses selling on the market. I think those are not good because they use phones for screens, and phone’s screens aren’t good enough as normal LED screens. I suggest Deepon VR, it costs 1780 RMB, and its quality is pretty good, but if you really want to experience something dope, you should probably purchase a HTC Vive (6800RMB), or an Oculus Rift (5800). Of course, you will also need a strong computer to carry Virtual Reality. First of all, Virtual Reality doesn’t support Mac at all (even if you have a Windows system on it). To check out whether your device supports Virtual Reality, you may go to download a CPU-Z (Ludashi or System Hardware Monitor is fine too) and check those following hardware. CPU: Either above Fx8300/i5 4590, is the Ram above 8 Gigabytes, and the most important part, is your Graphic Card above R9 290x/ GTX970. If any of the following doesn’t fit, your device can’t support Virtual Reality. (Do not try to buy an Alienware or ROG, computers with a brand sucks). Virtual Reality is the medium of Next Generation’s entertainment, Business Solutions, Engineering and even more. In the future, everybody must have at least one virtual Reality device. No matter AR, MR, or VR, they are all pioneers of the technology fashion. For geeks, by geeks. Come on and join this enormous wave of Virtual Reality!”
