Puxi Grade 2: Story Mom

On the afternoon of May 12rd, the story mom brought to the 2nd graders a story called Mr. Gumpy’s Outing.

The story was very simple. One day, Mr. Gumpy went out in his boat. Two kids and some animals went on boat one by one. Everything was OK at first, but gradually these passengers broke the rules. Finally, the boat tipped, and all of them fell into the water. Instead of blaming the passengers, Mr. Gumpy generously invited them to drink tea in his house.

After narrating this story, story mom asked students to act the story out. All of the students enjoyed themselves in this lovely story. What’s more important, they learned generosity, kindness, optimism and tolerance from Mr. Gumpy.
