NSDA Debate Competition

On May 14^th, 2016, our school welcomed 190 teams onto our campus to participate in the NSDA debate competition. There were two divisions, novice and open, which contained new debaters and experienced debaters respectively. As the students marveled at the beauty of our campus upon entrance, our lovely teachers and principal were busily arranging affairs and ensuring the competition ran smoothly. Four SHSID teams were amongst the vast pool of participants and through two days of passionate speeches along with intense cross fires, three teams passed into the elimination rounds, with Ricky Pan and Jeffrey Fu winning second place. Apart from the awards, everyone gained debate experience and made new friends. Overall, the 2016 NSDA Shanghai Round competition at SHSID was a huge success! Congratulations to everyone who participated in the competition, and we owe a huge thank you to everyone who made this possible!
