8th Grade Karaoke Competition

May 12th, 2016 was a fantastic day as the 8thgrade students and teachers attended the Karaoke Competition in the Primary School Auditorium. The performers tried their best to prepare for this competition, hoping the audiences could enjoy their performances. Members from the Simply Accessories Club sold colorful bracelets that could shine in the dark for everyone to wave for the singers.

The Karaoke Competition not only consists of Chinese and English songs, but also Japanese, Korean, and rap songs. “You Raise Me Up” sang by Summer from 8(2) made the audience deeply touched. It reminded us to always remember the great love and caring from our parents. Lillian, Eva and another five girls who love to watch Japanese animations sang the song “Blessing.” Their amazing choir made their singing even more appealing to the audience. Claire from 8(2) sang Taylor Swift’s famous song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” while playing the guitar, making her performance really cool. Bowen and Nicole sang a rap song “When I’m Gone” brought the competition to a climax. Everyone was surprised by their outrageous skills. Finally, the Karaoke Competition ended with a graceful song “Tong Hua.”

Thanks to all the students who performed in the Karaoke competition. Your amazing performance not only gave us a wonderful afternoon, but also a beautiful memory forever.
