Grade 10: Chinese Theater Competition

All the Chinese non-native group students of grade 10 had a theater competition in the multi-function hall on May 3th. Students adapted or wrote the drama, and directed the plays themselves. The Chinese teachers were invited to work as judges. The students presented different forms of stage art from traditional Chinese folk talk shows, scientific fiction show to comic skit. Although they were non-native speakers, the students delivered the lines and dialogues in fluent Chinese with theatrical postures that won great applause from the audience and judges as well. Finally, "Envoy Yanzi in Chu Kingdom," a play based on a classic Chinese history won the first prize.
