Grade 10 Survival Training Report (4): Leave No Trace Skits

On April 25th, after an exhausting yet fun day of activities, the whole grade gathered together for an evening of learning and performing. Instructed by the coaches, they were educated on “Leave No Trace”, a center for outdoor ethics. It includes seven major principles: planning ahead, traveling on durable surfaces, disposing of waste, leaving what you find, minimize campfire impacts, respect wildlife, and being considerate of other visitors. Shortly after, each team was assigned one principle to perform a short skit about. Each of the team member was required to show in the skit. From acting as animals to pretending to be fire, the performances passed as important topics were laced with comedic moments, creating a truly educating but hilarious night.
