Grade 10 Survival Training Report (2): Tent Building

One of the highlights of the trip is building and living in the tent in the Oriental Land on 25. Through team cooperation and hard work, simple plain bars of metal and sailcloth gradually transformed an empty platform into an area of temporary homes, although it was an all-consuming task from carrying the heavy parts to understanding the correct structure and procedure. At night, these homes were cozy havens illuminated by flashlights, in which friends huddled in blankets for games, gossip, deep talks, and laughter. The tents were not just temporarily places to sleep, but a force that seemed to unite the entire tenth grade of SHSID through teamwork and portals that transported all students to a parallel universe eliminated of the stress of school and test scores in the real world.
