Grade 10 Surviving Traning Report (1): Icebreakers

In the morning of 25, the 10th graders had an ice breaker period, where the 14 coaches from indier and all the students could break the unfamiliarity between each other. At first, the students were shy and bashful, but the icebreakers heated up the atmosphere in no time. The unknown tension between students and the coaches were broken down. The ice breaker offered a few activities. First, the coaches asked us to “mingle” around. While mingling, they would tell us do a certain pose that grouped students from 2 to 5 people. It was completely arbitrary that made students group with people they didn’t know. The next mini game was evolution. Evolution was a game where every student started as an egg, and rock-paper-scissored their way to their final evolution: human. After that, the final activity was getting assigned into random groups each with a coach leader, and come up with a team name, chant, and a flag. It helped loosen out the tension and helped students make friends with each other.
