Middle School English Speech Competition

On Thursday the 28th of April, the seventh and eighth grade had our speech competition. During this event, students from S, S+, H and H+ gave us argumentative speeches presenting to us their different opinions on different topics. From each student came a large variety of speech ideas, everyone learned a lot of interesting and weird new things, and we got to see a bit of our schoolmate’s personalities, too. There were funny speeches that made everyone laugh and go wild; there were smart, professional ones that left everyone impressed; and there were interesting, original ones that made everyone stop a minute to think. Not one speech was disappointing, and while all the students enjoyed them a lot, the speakers also got marvelous scores decided by teachers, for their good topics, impressive public speaking skills and talented writing techniques. Speech competitions are widely loved events of the school year, and this one has definitely left us all pleased.
