Puxi Grade 2: Atom Model Project

This month, second graders have been studying matter in science classes. They’ve learned that all matter is made of tiny particles called atoms. To deepen their understanding of an atom, students were required to make a neat, attractive, 3D model of an atom. They could use any objects found around their houses to build models in any size.

Students constructed different kinds of creative models using marshmallows, toothpicks, chopsticks, styrofoam balls, toy balls and so on. This project not only increased their hands-on skill, but also cultivated their creativity. Besides, they gained a lot of fun in learning science.
