Grade 9 & 10: Career Day

SHSID grade 9 and 10 students spent the whole afternoon attending the annual Career Day on April 13, 2016. The students’ parents were invited to give the students a brief introduction about the industries they came from in terms of the required degrees, the job opportunity, and the different categories of work in that field. The subjects include art, biology, chemistry, NGO, education, publishing, human resources, finance, marketing, accounting, logistics management and many other fields. There were, in total, 24 choices for students to choose, providing a great chance for students to explore the areas that they are interested in and have more insight on future careers. The Career Day consists of two sessions: lecture and mock interview. Students also asked questions about the various requirements and asked for advice from the lecturers. Knowing the first hand experiences from these experts deepened students’ understanding of the subject and saw how each subject is applied in real life.
