G11:Business Club Activity

Before the monthlies, we held a club session to talk about the importance of understanding a firm’s customers and adapting one’s business to its customers. Through calling Walmart’s customer service hotline, we learned that customers are indeed top priority when it comes to making a good impression. We also brought up various examples of early business leaders that understood the importance of customers and analyzed their business concepts.

Last week we held a club session to talk about one of the most common business concepts – the SWOT analysis. SWOT refers to strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. SWOT analysis is a process where the management team identifies the internal and external factors that will affect the company’s future performance. We checked if our club members understood the concept by analyzing Apple as a club. After that we ended our session with a video that gave us an in-depth breakdown of the concept even further.
