Puxi Grade 3 : Visting The National Center for Protein Science Shanghai

Grade 3 students visited The National Center for Protein Science Shanghai on March 24th and learned lots of facts about protein. The center staff introduced basic knowledge about the definition, element, source, and the importance of protein. The element of protein is too small to be seen by our eyes or a microscope, but proteins are part of every living cell. They help our body grow and help repair body cells. Foods such as milk, eggs, dairy products, meats, fish, and nuts are good sources of protein. After the introduction, center staff showed us around the important parts of the center and explained them to us in detail. Not only did students learn more knowledge about protein, but they were also more interested in science. Some of them said they want to be a scientist in the future!
