Grade 12: Traditional Shanghainese Games & Chinese Bracelets @ Fengxian 54 Farm

In March 21st evening, the 12th graders gathered before the stage on the basketball court of Fengxian 54 Farm and subsequently filed class by class into the auditorium. What awaited us were games set up in different corners of the room. Our host, Jeric and Jack, once again took to the stage and announced the start of game night. Soon, the room was abuzz with activity and the sounds of students engaged in their traditional Shanghainese games. Some students stood in ever-expanding circles to give the "jianzi" a kick. Others paired up in a competition of flexibility where friends first played scissor-paper-rock and then stepped forward or backward, stretching their legs to the extreme. Following the games, students once again entered the cafeteria, and with the help of the camp counselors, braided colorful traditional Chinese bracelets. Amidst rainbow-colored strings, an eventful day of new experiences came to an end.
