Grade 9: Peer Advisor

From this semester, a peer advisor program is created for students who wish to obtain a scholarship. According to the dictionary, peer advisor literally means tutoring someone close to you, so in this context, the peer advisor should assist those who want to make progress or move up a level in certain subjects. At the 1st meeting, lots and lots of students came, which reflects upon the compassionate and helpful heart of many students. The faculty advisor organized all the participants into 3 groups: those who teach Chinese, English, and history; others who teach math, chemistry, and physics; the last group being the tutors in the elective classes. Every group has a leader to organize the team and assign tutorial sessions and Q&A sessions to the members. Every time before the tests, several Q&A sessions will take place to help the students prepare for their exams. After the exams, the tutorials along with the Q&As will take place in order to prepare students who want to move up. In the classroom, every tutor is gathered by those who ask questions about confusing materials. The tutors patiently answer their questions.
