Puxi Grade 3: Science Project - Make Your Own Fossil

Third grade students learned lots of facts about fossils during the last two weeks. This week, students put what they have learned into practice and finished their fossil-making project. They displayed their projects on March 16th. Students used a diversity of materials, such as clay, plaster, and coffee grounds. The fossil could be an animal or plant, either currently living or extinct. Their projects contained many kinds of animals and plants, such as leaves, starfish, and mammoth. Those made of coffee grounds, not only looked fantastic, but smelled great! The whole classroom was filled with the aroma of coffee!
