From Academic Hexathlon to Decathlon

SHSID sent out a delegation of 27 students. They were 3 groups and one individual contestant to compete in the United States Academic Decathlon in China. All contestants are from Grade 9-10. Five-month training through the Academic Hexathlon at SHSID has prepared them for this event, during which time, each team has designed a review plan which suits them best. Both their academic competence and characters have been strenghened through team work. During the four-day exams in various subjects, guided by the team leader, with delegates careful preparations and effective stratagies, SHSID received 4 gold medals, 9 silver medals, and 3 bronze medas. The individual contestant also won the second prize, and 2 teams will compete in the finals which will take place in America. Congratulations!
